More random Royals chatter, as we enter another week passed without news. Meanwhile, Baseball is stirred by the Yankees-Mariner trade, the rare blockbuster that just suddenly happened. In the grab bag, a fascinating piece on parking and a look at Hugh Trevor-Roper.

    Is it just me, or...

…did Seattle get fleeced. It seems like a stud, young, cost-controlled potential #1 starter should garner much more than one significant position player, no matter how fantastic, young, and cost-controlled that regular player is. – TL

    And what is the...

…cheap, tawdry Kitty Kelley doing tackling Stephen Hawking? Talk about your mismatches.

    Oops.

It wasn’t Kitty Kelley. My bad.

    i like seattle's end better....

pineda wasnt expected to be that good. he only has two pitches. if I’m NY, i’d rather have a power hitter righty for 6 more years than the flyballing two pitch pineda in yankee stadium for 5 but they were desperate for pitching so i guess it makes sense for both sides

Addressing parking concerns in the build environment=trying to put the jeanie back in the bottle

I like the technology that may make “market based” parking prices a possibility, but it seems like the surrounding businesses would raise hell, maybe rightfully so….so many benefits if the US was as reliant on pub transport and walking a la NY or Europe. Unless Obama gets the funding for the socialist brain washing laser beam machine, like the jeanie and the bottle, that horse has left the barn, the eagle has flown, the eggs have been broke, the early worms got the bird, the shoe foot is worth two in the bush, and the tables turned is worth a penny earned.

    "built" environment, he meant
    Fascinating article though.

The random links Will puts in are wonderful.

Agreed. Demonstrates a breadth of interests well beyond your typical sporting website.

In general, I think this is reflected in the comments on the board as well. It’s good rubbing virtual elbows with such a well rounded bunch of swells.

    Full disclosure:

That was an guest post/advertorial at Royalscentricity. I was leery about putting it up, but ultimately don’t care about the dark side of gambling and thought that his angle at least sort of thematically fit with some of the non-roster move /-[shitty] analysis I’ve done. I got paid well (in blogging terms) to put that up. I’d say I sold out, but I never had the integrity in the first place.
