One year ago, all was right for our Royals. At least in my incomparable analysis.
On January 25th last year, Baseball America had named the Royals the top farm system in the game, it was the end of a very nice stretch that included the Chen and Francis signings, the Gil Meche retirement, and the Billy Butler extension.
Are we still trending upwards?

Inexorably yes!

the 'trending' started at the break last year
3 games under .500 and plus run diff over that period. Anyone wondering about ‘trending’ cannot see the forest from the trees

While I think that being unable to see the forest for the trees is a valid complaint
about many here, me included (too wrapped up in details to gain a view of the whole, to be clear),
there’s this one particularly large tree with Yuniesky scratched into it that is blocking my vision.

BA ranked them #3 overall and that was before Nationals trade who were rated #2
That seems high but shows depth of system still

I'd imagine they crack BP's top 5 orgs, too.
At the very least, they would have pre-SD and -Sea offseason overhauls via trades.

if my calculations are right, we're gonna win infinite games this year
