Should you be considering playing fantasy baseball this season, and now that Spring Training is kinda sorta upon us (remember when it definitively started, as opposed to whatever has happened over the last week, oh look, hey, people are here! My innocence has been destroyed by this lack of firm boundaries. This is all way too Écriture féminine for me) one's mind naturally turns to baseball and the generally boring men with blase facial hair that play it.
Should you find yourself there, think about playing Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball. Back when I played, I enjoyed their wares. Don't play much now, the dude who lets the girl down before the hero arrives, the chap who's yellow and keeps the store, seem far too familiar. My fantasy life is aspiring to being average. More information on Yahoo Fantasy Baseball and its benefits after the jump.

Haha, SBN must really be all the bloggers’ asses about pitching Yahoo. This is, what, the third pitch in the last 2 weeks?
I hope SBN doesn’t form too many of these partnerships. It could tarnish the community feel if the readers feel like the people that run the site have been mind-controlled by corporations.

Yahoo! is a corporation?
hawkinscm87 - February 22, 2012
uhh...yeah
billybeingbilly - February 22, 2012
Really?
hawkinscm87 - February 22, 2012
Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) is an American multinational internet corporation headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, United States.
cor·po·ra·tion [kawr-puh-rey-shuhn] Show IPA
noun
1.
an association of individuals, created by law or under authority of law, having a continuous existence independent of the existences of its members, and powers and liabilities distinct from those of its members.

and they're listed as yahoo incorporated on the stock exchange...
what was the point of your comment there? to try to make the guy look dumb for no reason? how’d that work out for ya?
billybeingbilly - February 22, 2012

I heartily endorse this product and/or service
If the occasional sponsored ad pays the bills without requiring more intrusive advertising (say, a 60-second car commercial video before you can read a post), I am fine with them.
Gopherballs - February 22, 2012
True that
I don’t mind if Will renames himself Chevy Volt and spends the next 6 months posting only about the fuel efficiency of Jeff Francoeur so long as it saves us from those damn video ads returning.
kcdc1 - February 22, 2012
I just bought 10 of them

Are the video clips bi-weekly (every other week) or semi-weekly (twice a week)?
kcdc1 - February 22, 2012
so to recap...
during early spring training in a year when the Royals may finally start to see their rebuilding process pay off with a winning season we’re discussing the Cardinals and then a paid advertisement for a fantasy baseball application.
Of the two, I think it’s the Cardinals discussion that’s really bothering me.
sfeldkamp - February 22, 2012
Should we be discussing all the news that has come out of Spring Training so far?
Jose Mijares is missing. – Check!
That is all.
Scott McKinney - February 22, 2012
I blame the Cardinals
buddyball - February 22, 2012
If Mijares is found in Jupiter, Florida, I’m going to burn St. Louis to the ground.
Scott McKinney - February 22, 2012
You should probably go ahead and burn St Louis anyway
just to be safe
Pointed Stick - February 22, 2012

It's like riding an elevator to Hell
That goes up.
JKWard - February 22, 2012
It felt like indoor recess at the top when I was there this summer.
I was looked out one window and was ready to get the F out of there.

Advertising helps pay the bills and at least gives some compensation to what is otherwise entirely a labor of love.
I have zero problems with advertorials.
Old Man Duggan - February 22, 2012
Personally I think they can be very entertaining
In all honesty, I hope they get ridiculous. An advertorial for Yahoo Fantasy Baseball is site-relevant. I hope to see future advertorials for Axe body spray and Jostens class rings. I’d like to see what Will does with that material.

This is embarassing
sumajestad - February 22, 2012 via mobile
I love yahoo fantasy baseball
I will not help by paying them, but I will help w/ my traffic to the site which in turn, helps w/ ad dollars. Boom.
I need more Esteban - February 23, 2012
